Pierre-Olivier and I (Lysanne) both come from the restaurant industry. In fact, we met over pizza seven years ago. During those many years working in restaurants, we noticed the inhuman amount of food wasted. So we couldn't help but put our heads together and want to find a solution to actively combat food waste.

That's how we came up with the idea of creating a delicious range of salsas, from mild to spicy, to reduce food waste in Quebec, one jar at a time. The idea behind choosing salsa was quite simple: everyone loves salsa!

Salsa and chips are the perfect combination when friends come over to watch a sporting event or simply when you want a snack by the pool on a hot summer day. In other words, Pretty Ugly salsa isn't just another boring consumer product like the hundreds found on supermarket shelves. It's a jar you open to share with friends and family, and above all, it's a great way to have a good time.
