My journey

For over 25 years, I have been passionate about everything related to business development and company growth .

I have had the privilege of collaborating with wonderful people and teams, and of participating in great success stories, always guided by the same objective: to advance local businesses .

I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. At the end of last year, I decided to take the next step by creating my own consulting firm. My goal: to help SMEs accelerate their growth by combining sales strategy and artificial intelligence.

But at the beginning of the year, an event somewhat changed my game plan…

How the idea came about

Last February, when President Trump uttered his threats to annex Canada and started a trade war by imposing his tariffs, I, like many Quebecers, felt a deep sense of indignation.

Seeing a long-standing partner turn its back on decades of collaboration and seek to weaken our economy truly shocked me. I took this threat very seriously.

I then asked myself: " What can I do , on my own scale, to counter this dependence and support our local businesses?"

That's where the idea was born to create a website or application that would allow people to find Quebec and Canadian products equivalent to major American consumer products .

After several searches and market analyses, my idea evolved: it seemed more profitable and more urgent to highlight Quebec food products from the pantry , those that are too rarely found in supermarkets.

The idea materialized one day, simply while doing my grocery shopping. I realized how few Quebec products were available, how poorly identified, and how often difficult they were to find.

I then began to discover incredible artisans and products, authentic, inventive, and deeply rooted in our culture. I wanted to make them known, to share them, and above all… to taste them.

This is how Saveurs du Québec was born, an online store dedicated to rediscovering local products and artisans.

A response to the American threat

The American economic threat is not a passing idea; it is very real and lasting.

Trade tensions have revealed how dependent we still are on their consumer products, and how urgent it is to regain control over what we buy and consume .

On my own scale, I wanted to take action: to encourage economic pride , to support our producers, and to remind people that buying local is much more than just a purchase, it is an act of autonomy and solidarity .

Saveurs du Québec is my way of offering a simple and concrete alternative to consume differently, out of pride and by choice.

The choice of artisans and products

From my very first research, I discovered some incredible artisans.

Some are already well established, such as Madame Labriski , Fit Cook Foodz , or Stefano Faita . Others, such as La Chope à Miel , Les Délices du Lac-Saint-Jean , or Simon Turcotte Confiturier , deserve to be discovered by a wider audience.

And then there are our bold young wolves , driven by a new energy: Flirt Drinks , The Pretty Ugly Company , Les Sablés de l'Osti d'Français

They all share the same passion: to offer products made with heart, here in Quebec .

It is this shared passion that drives Saveurs du Québec , your gourmet counter to explore, taste and discover the best of what we have to offer.
